JIM THORPE OLYMPIAN BIRTHDAY FESTIVAL

May 21 & 22, 2022

Dear Vendor,

You are cordially invited to participate in the annual Jim Thorpe Birthday Celebration Weekend sponsored

by the Mauch Chunk Museum and Cultural Center. This year's festival will be held Saturday, May 21

and Sunday, May 22, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Historic District of Jim Thorpe. The festival

includes activities and entertainment for folks of all ages. A variety of musical entertainment is offered

including Native American Performances, local attractions and more. Admission is Free to the Public.

Spaces are available for artists & craft people, non-profit organizations and food vendors. No imported

items, kits or manufactured items are allowed. These spaces are limited and will be filled on a "first

come, first served" basis. The spaces will be in the parking lot to the right of the train station, on the

sidewalk in front of the station and only a few in the park itself. All tents cannot be staked but must be held

down with sand bags. No electricity, tables or chairs are provided and each space is approximately 10ft by

10ft and tents are highly recommended. No booth space is guaranteed from year to year.

You are required to keep your space clean and presentable during the festival, as well as clearing your area

before leaving. Food vendors must bring two trash receptacles and maintain them during the course of the

weekend.

HOURS FOR THE FESTIVAL EACH DAY ARE UNTIL 5PM AND ALL MUST STAY UNTIL

THE END UNLESS SHUT DOWN EARLIER BY THE COMMITTEE.

A $30 A DAY VENDING PERMIT MUST BE OBTAINED FROM THE JIM THORPE BOROUGH

OFFICE (AFTER YOU HAVE PAID FOR YOUR VENDING SITE AND BEEN APPROVED BY

THE CHAIRPERSON )AND THEN PRESENTED AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION SET UP.

YOU MUST SEND IN YOUR VENDOR APPLICATION AND CHECK FOR YOUR VENDING

SPACE FIRST BEFORE CONTACTING THE BOROUGH FOR THE VENDING PERMIT.

NEW THIS YEAR :Proof of Liability insurance (500,000 Policy) must be sent with application and

check. If you need insurance, we suggest. www.actinsurance.com for $39. Or signing a liability waiver

accepting all responsibility ( sent to you upon request ).
